The New York singer has lashed out at fashion designers through a video on Instagram that has quickly gone viral. The reason for her anger is that after being nominated for a Grammy for Best New Artist, she has found that several designers do not want to dress her for the ceremony to be held next month in Los Angeles for not being thin.

“I finally get a Grammy nomination and it's the best in the world. Often times artists contact designers [for these events] and they create special dresses for the red carpet. My team has contacted many designers who do not want to dress me because I am very big. Literally because I am very big,”she says in the video. "If a size 6 is too big, I don't know what to say, I don't want to wear your p **** dresses, it's crazy."

"I'm sorry, i had to say it. If you don't like my style or my music, that's one thing, but don't say that you can't dress someone who doesn't have a catwalk model size”, he has written in the comments that accompany the video. "[You have to] empower women to love their bodies instead of making girls and women feel less about their size."

The reactions of both his fans and other celebrities were swift. Singer Demi Lovato, who has spoken publicly about her eating problems on several occasions, has written a comment on Rexha's video commenting “so it is said!”.

Puerto Rican designer Stella Nolasco, who has dressed many celebrities such as JLo, Eva Longoria or Beyoncé, has also commented in the video "I would love to dress you", making it clear that she does not care about her size.

And to you, what do you think of the controversy?
