There were many spectacular collections that were presented during the prestigious Paris Fashion Week and more the moments that left us speechless. Between the presentation of new collections by Latino designers like Esteban Cortázar and Johanna Ortiz, and the incredible Chanel show, it was truly a memorable week. After several days full of fashion and a lot of glamor, the season had to end with a flourish and what better way to do it than with the presentation of the Louis Vuitton spring / summer 2018 collection, where tennis shoes were the kings.

The show was performed no more and no less than in the Louvre Museum in Paris and the collection was made in collaboration with the famous skateboarding brand Supreme, which definitely gave an urban and edgy touch to each piece.

Doublets were seen on the catwalk in brocade fabrics with futuristic details and applications, combined with simple silk shorts, as well as blouses with oversized sleeves, leather pants, fun T-shirts, dresses with floral prints and modern striped pieces.

Apart from the modern leather pants and metallic fabrics with flights, other of the pieces that reigned on the catwalk were sports shoes. And it is that this time Nicolas Ghesquière, creative director of the brand, chose only tennis to combine his exquisite pieces and the result was a fresh, youthful and very chic collection.

Another fun and fresh touch? The t-shirts with the characters from the famous Stranger Things series that the models wore, something that undoubtedly surprised those present.

“I met the guys last season and we had a great time. We talked and we thought it would be a lot of fun to include the series in the show,”Ghesquière said in an interview. “It is always good to have a little“accident”like that in a collection. It is as if the girl had kept the backstage shirt. I think this is the backstage piece most desired by the girls."
