Rio de Janeiro is one of the fashionable cities, and not only because it is the venue for the next Olympic Games. The French firm Louis Vuitton has chosen the Brazilian city to present its Resort 2017 collection.
The creative director of the brand, Nicolas Ghesquière has confirmed that next May 28 - in case they have no plans for Memorial Day - the parade will take place, the third in the house to be held outside of Paris. Last year the Resort collection was presented in Palm Springs, California, and in 2015 the stage was Monaco.
Ghesquière is not the only one to choose an exotic and emerging destination to display his Resort collection; Karl Lagerfeld recently announced that the Chanel show will take place in Havana on May 3.
For his part, Gucci has decided to stay in Europe and on June 2 he will reveal his latest creations in London.
