The charismatic Francisca Lachapel was the star of our flip cover of the month of September and stands out for wearing bright and natural makeup created by the Argentine makeup artist Mariela Bagnato. We talked with the expert about the look of the Dominican presenter and the products she used to achieve the modern look.

What was the concept of makeup?

For this photoshoot, our objective with the editor Úrsula Carranza and the photographer Omar Cruz was to find the essence of Francisca, to achieve a fresh and natural makeup that lets us see more of her personality.

How did you complement the clothes and favor Francisca?

I used neutral colors in the range of brown and gold. These shades complement any style of clothing. Her outfits from high-fashion designers were already impressive, that's why I leaned towards intense makeup but without being aggressive when combining it with clothing.

What were the key points of the makeup you did?

With Francisca I worked a lot on 'Glow' and 'Contour' as it has an ideal skin tone to highlight features. A key point was not to use black, all the shades and eyeliners were in different shades of brown which made her makeup stay warm and less rigid.

What beauty products did you use?

I started by applying a light Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation. Replace the classic translucent powder you used for backing with the yellow Ben Nye Luxury Banana Powder volatile powder. Contour with Mary Kay Bronzing Powder. To add color and luminosity apply TIGI Cosmetics Glow Blush in Awaken tone.

How was the experience of working with Francisca?

I loved sharing with Francisca! Although we had already worked together, this was the first time I had the pleasure of applying makeup. She is a very fighting and happy girl. She has a contagious personality and she showed me that she always wants to learn more. While she was doing her makeup we talked a lot about makeup and techniques, we even had one class pending! Her enthusiasm is truly inspiring.
