Slow is the title of the Spring / Summer 2016 collection that the firm Custo Barcelona has presented at New York Fashion Week.
According to the brand's creative director, Custo Dalmau, it is due to the time it has taken to make the pieces, something that has been reflected on the catwalk. The exquisite mix of fabrics such as guipure, jacquard or lamé with intricate lace, silk and cotton, have turned the garments into authentic handcrafted puzzles. "A return to quality and creativity" as stated by the designer himself.
Dresses, jackets, tunics, tops and bathing suits have paraded on the catwalk in a wide variety of colors, from cream tones to intense blues, through a wide range of greens and reds.

An eclectic and personality ode to modern women, the collection reflects a love of craftsmanship in the amount of detail included in each piece. The backs of the jackets and tops are especially striking, with various openings that gave a sensual and elegant touch to the garments that contrasted with the amount of color.

As for accessories, handbags, shoes and sunglasses were as protagonists as clothing, with very eye-catching designs that highlight the designer's mastery of the use of color.

On the beauty side, Gato was the makeup artist for Maybelline. A very natural look inspired by teenage features and highlighting the models' natural features. The key, a skin with concealer but without much coverage, neutral shades, mascara only on the tip of the eyelashes and matte lipstick, as explained in the backstage of the show.
As for the hair, the stylist Tomo Jidai made a very natural hairstyle, giving volume to the roots and combing the long locks with a curling iron, leaving them half undone, inspired by the urban manes of the 70s. A perfect combination with the extremely worked from the collection.
