Angel Sanchez Fashion Show At New York Fashion Week

As a delicate and colorful tropical garden of the Caribbean has been the Spring / Summer 2016 collection that the Venezuelan designer Ángel Sánchez has presented at New York Fashion Week.

The models looked very feminine, wrapped in vaporous fabrics with transparencies, appliques and drapes that were reminiscent of flower petals, in a bright color palette such as lime yellow, fuchsia or coral.

Some of the suits stood out for the inclusion of original ornaments such as belts or brooches, in unexpected materials such as plastic. The shoes also attracted attention, as they were decorated with large colored flowers.

Sánchez, who was inspired by the hibiscus flower for its staging, tells us behind the scenes why it is his most Latin collection so far.

Gisel Calvillo was in charge of creating the makeup look for MAC, in soft tones that did not compete with the strong colors of the pieces, and whose key was perfect skin and bright eyes.

The hair was the work of stylist Jordi Martínez for Fekkai, who wanted to create a relaxed hairstyle to contrast with the sophistication of the garments.

The nails were also made up in soft tones, as Morgan Taylor's manicurist Gina Edwards explains. "It was all about the tropical exuberance of Angel's clothes so we created a smooth and creamy finish on the nails with two layers of enamel in a nude shade and a matte top coat."
