Meet The Winner Of Our Aveeno Natural Beauty Contest

The 28-year-old Honduran Celea Turcios is the winner of our Natural Beauty contest held in collaboration with the Aveeno firm.

To participate in our competition we asked our readers to send photos that represent the essence of their beauty. We received hundreds of snapshots but Celea's stood out from the rest for her fresh images and beaming smile. "I am so flattered," explains the winner. “It is the first time that I jump into competition like this. [I thought] 'there are going to be many people participating, is it that they are going to choose me?'”.

Mother of two children, 10 and 6 years old, Celea confesses that between her children and her work in a dental office she does not have much time to put on makeup, and that encouraged by a friend, she decided to participate. “Yes it can, even if it seems impossible. For me it means much more [than a contest] because since I was little I have always liked this environment, more than all the music.”

A karaoke fanatic, where she sings ranchera music once a month with her friends, and dedicated to cooking Honduran dishes on Sundays, Celea confesses that one of her beauty tricks is drinking lots of lemon and ginger water and also spending time on herself.

The award consisted of a professional photo shoot to appear on one of the pages of our June issue, now on sale. Surrounded by stylists and makeup artists, the shoot was made in a New York photo studio where Celea moved like a fish in water. " It's like I've been doing this for a long time, "she laughs. "I feel phenomenal".
