For the first time in its 178 years of existence, the jewelery firm Tiffany & Co. chose a gay couple as the protagonists of its engagement ring advertising campaign.

The advertising spot titled Will You… features seven images of same-sex couples captured by photographer Peter Lindberg.

"Today, the path of marriage is no longer linear and true love can occur more than once with love stories emerging in a variety of ways," said Linda Buckely, vice president of public relations for the firm in North America, al Elle.com portal.

In this way, the legendary jewelry company joins the list of brands that have launched campaigns with same-sex couples, such as Target, Banana Republic and J. Crew.
