Heidi Klum: "I Look The Way I Look, Whoever Likes It"

Her spectacular figure, mastery of the catwalk and stunning beauty have led her to become one of the most sought-after models of the Victoria's Secret brand. Her unique style has earned her a very important place in the fashion world. Proof of this is the reality show that she has been running since 2004, Project Runway (Bravo TV), which has become one of the most popular programs and the most important competition for new fashion designers in the United States.

That is why Heidi Klum is an authority when it comes to fashion and beauty. Recently, the 35-year-old supermodel visited New York City to introduce The Spring Look Makeup Collection - Victoria's Secret's new spring makeup set, containing a palette with four shades, a blush, a mascara, a glitter lips and a mirror, all in a practical white leather pouch-, and we took the opportunity to speak with the beautiful German about those topics that women are so interested in.

Tell us a little bit about this new makeup set.

It is beautiful, easy to use, practical, and brings new colors because spring is almost here. So, they are vivid colors like champagne and pink. They are very cute spring colors. And the best thing is that it is super cheap because it only costs $ 49.

You have wonderful skin. What is your secret to keep it like this?

Well, apart from makeup (laughs), I have found a skin product that is great. It's called Kura Intuitif Nourishing Cream (from the Själ brand), it's an anti-aging cream that I've been using for the past two and a half years.

What is your main beauty tip?

Highlight a part of your face. That is, if it is the eyes, then make them stand out, either with bold colors, or with mascara, or by outlining them. But keep your lips natural, whether with a nude color or just gloss. Or, if you want to highlight your lips, use a chocolate-colored lipstick, or red, or wine-colored, or any striking color, but just apply a lot of mascara on your lashes and put on a color that looks natural on the eyelids. But never do both at the same time.

What do you always carry in your bag?

My Blackberry, lip gloss, mascara, powder, and it's always good to have a mirror.

How do you always hit the red carpet?

I think the most important thing for any woman is to feel good and happy with herself. I always try to get away from what is common, because I am a fashion lover and I do not always like to opt for the safest. So sometimes I choose an outfit or maybe shoes or a hairstyle that is a bit out of the ordinary. But I love fashion, and I try to be innovative, although I know that maybe the next day I will end up on the list of the worst dressed.

After all the fuss caused by the photos of Jessica Simpson where it was noted that she had gained weight, what do you think about the pressure that celebrities face to stay super slim?

I think you put that pressure on yourself. It is up to you whether you stress about it or not. I think you have to be happy with your life and when you look in the mirror the most important thing is that you feel happy with what you see, whatever your weight. I never stress about those things, I mean, I look the way I look, whoever likes it.

But, you are very thin. How do you stay like this?

I can tell you that I exercise, but I don't kill myself by exercising. I exercise more when I have a show and I have to model with little clothes. But, I'm not obsessed with it.
