If you have a child of months and want to go on vacation without exposing yourself to the difficulties of traveling with a little one in your arms, what can you do? Very simple: stay at home. That is the solution found by the Mexican actor Khotán Fernández and his partner, the presenter Candela Ferro, who gave birth to her daughter, Oleta, just over 6 months ago.

Sure, these first-time dads are fortunate to live in Miami, a place that welcomes millions of tourists each year. “It is a city in constant flourishing. It has a privileged climate,”says Ferro, who has lived there since 2001 and is a declared fan of South Florida.

Despite having a reputation for being a party destination, the 44-year-old Argentina woman warns that there is much more to it than the neon lights and discos of South Beach. “Miami has become the city of good museums and art galleries. The restaurant menu is privileged”, he maintains. "Children grow up happy surrounded by nature and the sea." Being outdoors is one of their favorite activities and the couple carries a small tent to protect Oleta from the sun when they go to the beach in Miami Beach or the lesser-known Farito beach in Key Biscayne.

The couple's favorite place could be a beautiful spot in the northeast of the city that gave their daughter their name: the Oleta River State Park. "[It is fabulous] to do activities like paddle board or canoeing," says the 45-year-old actor, who can be seen in the series The Other Side of the World (Telemundo) and The Oath (Sony Crackle). "It is a Miami that few know."
