Practicing yoga has gained great popularity and has become a relaxation discipline, but Carlee Benear, a mother struggling with postpartum depression, found yoga a great help.
Benear, 29, started practicing yoga when she started having trouble feeding her tender one-month-old baby Maramaylee.
"We were having difficulties and I think many mothers do it during those first weeks," the mother told People. “I started my practice right after my pregnancy because I needed it to help me adjust and relax as we entered the lactation routine. She helped me release her and little by little I let her be with me on the mat to see if it helped her too.”
Benear says her baby enjoys breastfeeding more when she is on the floor and she is on top of her in a yoga position.
The proud mother began sharing photos of herself and her baby girl on Instagram and received a positive response from her followers.
