Journalist Lourdes Stephen welcomed her long-awaited firstborn Michael Víctor Puchades on Thursday.
The husband of the presenter of Sal y Pimienta (Univisión) and the proud father, Michael Puchades, shared the news with a photo of the two together with the new member of the family through their Instagram account.

Happy Birthday MVP 7.12 lbs and 21 inches. Thank my Lord. Glory be to God”, Puchades wrote in the fit of the photo.
Stephen, who has a close relationship with Puchades' stepdaughters Lauren and Emily, who are already going to college, told People En Español that he longed to experience motherhood with his beloved.
The couple decided in the summer that they wanted to expand their family. “We have been together for seven years now. We got to the point that the moment came,”Stephen told People en Español.
Lourdes, who was alone at her home in Miami when the test was done, surprised her husband with the news.
“When I saw that it was positive, I was cold. I felt joy, I started crying,”he recalled when speaking with us a few months ago. “When he arrived, I received him with a box with little things inside and the proof. When he sees it, he says, 'Are you kidding me?' That man was hysterical, he adds.

Seeing that a pregnancy test came back positive in mid-September, Lourdes Stephen couldn't believe it. “My period had not come. I just quit the contraceptive method. For me it was something that was not going to happen so fast. We stopped taking care of it and it happened after four days,”says the co-presenter of Salt and Pepper (Univisión).
