Chelsea Clinton Pregnant With Her First Child

Bill and Hillary Clinton will soon become grandparents.

The couple's daughter Chelsea Clinton is pregnant with their first child. She herself shared the good news this Thursday during a speech she delivered in New York at an event of the Clinton Foundation's No Ceilings: The Full Participation Project.

"Marc and I are very excited that our first child will be born [in the fall]," said Chelsea, 34. "What definitely makes me feel better, be it a girl or a boy, is that she will grow up in a world full of so many women leaders."

Chelsea, who married Marc Mezvinsky in 2010, has been very open in publicly expressing her desire to become a mom to you. In October, she told Glamor magazine that she hoped to receive the stork's visit this year.

“We want, with the favor of God, to start a family. So we decided to turn 2004 into 'The Year of the Baby',”he said.

And two who are more than happy with the news are Hillary, 66, and Bill, 67.

"Excited to add a new line to my biography on Twitter … future grandfather," former President Clinton tweeted Thursday. "@HillaryClinton and I are so happy for Chelsea and Marc!"

The future grandmother also expressed her joy through Twitter: “The most exciting title I have ever had: Future Grandmother! @BillClinton and I are beyond excited that Cheslea and Marc are expecting their first child."

The Clintons had been pressuring their daughter to give them a grandchild, Chelsea said in October on the Rache Ray program.

"If one of my parents were sitting here, I would tell you without batting an eye that it would make them the happiest people on earth if I made them grandparents, and they say it so effusively, so I feel a little pressured," said Chelsea..
