Jimmy Kimmel will be a dad again. His wife Molly McNearney is pregnant, as announced by the presenter on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (NBC).
Kimmel already has two children from his previous marriage, Kevin and Katie. The baby she expects will be her first child with McNearney.
"I have a 20-year-old son and a 22-year-old daughter, and I already forgot everything," the comedian joked to Ellen DeGeneres, while answering if he was ready to take up paternity again.
The television star also said he was surprised to become a father again at 47. "It is very rare that at my age I will be one of those older parents … I am getting older every day."
Both Kimmel and his wife McNearney are unsure whether they want to know the baby's sex before it is born.
"I would like it to be a surprise and my wife was happy with my idea until a week ago, which started saying 'we have to find out.' But I don't think it matters. You don't need to paint the room pink or blue, that's intrinsically ridiculous. I think [babies] can't even see the colors."
