Satcha Pretto surprised many by announcing a few days ago in Despierta América (Univisión) that she is pregnant.

The 33-year-old Honduran journalist - who exclusively shared her wedding with the American lawyer Aaron Butler, 36, with People en Español - tells us how they received the pleasant news.

"Like all good newlyweds, when I returned from my honeymoon I bought a lot of pregnancy tests," she confesses. "You get obsessed when you're one day behind."

Although the first tests she did were negative, when she began to feel sleepy and more tired than normal in October, during a work trip to Mexico, she asked her husband to buy her another test. This one was positive.

“I started crying with joy, I woke up Aaron who was more asleep than awake, but super happy. We hugged each other and I started crying,”she recalls. "I am very grateful with life because it is a blessing that we have had as a couple."

Pretto says that months before announcing her pregnancy, several viewers began to write messages to them on social networks and even send her little gifts for her future baby. “Viewers feel part of this marriage, and they are. As they saw so much coverage of the wedding, they tell me: 'We loved your wedding and we are waiting for the boy or the girl'.

"There are viewers who have sent me gifts before announcing the pregnancy," says Pretto. "They write to me and say: 'How beautiful it is, and it has a special shine!'"

He also confesses that he has felt more sensitive than normal in recent weeks. "I am super sensitive, I want to cry about anything and I want to get excited," he confesses.

As for the type of mom she thinks she is, she says: "I am going to be strict and demanding as I have been with myself," says Pretto. "Let's see when I'm born if I'm like this!"

You can read all the details of her pregnancy in the next print edition of People en Español, which goes on sale during the first days of February.
