Satcha Pretto, the news anchor for Despierta America (Univisión), shares her experiences during these first four months of pregnancy, just a few months after her wedding to Aaron Butler.

“We waited until Sunday, November 10 to get tested, because it was already three months after we got married. If the answer was positive, we wanted it to be on a special date, and that's how we realized it, says Pretto.

“At six in the morning I got up, I couldn't sleep anymore. I woke him up and we were filled with tears of joy. I called my mom, my brother, and my maid of honor, who is my best friend, she says.

The Honduran journalist dreams of a baby who will keep her active, not caring much if it is a boy or a girl.

“My husband has a preference for a boy, as a typical father, and I would be happy with a girl or a boy. What I really want is for him to be a naughty little angel that makes me run everywhere, that makes me keep energy at a very high level, that demands a lot from me,”he says.

How you felt?

I have not had any major complications. I did not experience nausea or vomiting in the first trimester. Except for some problems with metabolism, I am trying to keep my diet as I always have. Of course I have my cravings - I'm dying for the sweet - but that was something I already experienced before being on tape. Something curious happens because I also want spicy, so I think I have a bittersweet baby, that is, they are the opposite ends.

Does your husband take care of you more now, treat you differently?

He has always told me that one of the characteristics that he likes most about me is that I am a very independent woman, but I have noticed now that during these first months of pregnancy he helps me much more … he is more aware of me, he calls me more times a day, some errands that I used to do. He has had the will to do them overnight, in that sense I think he is much more splendid.

Have you already thought of names?

We may not release the name until it is born, once we decide, because then parents' opinions and comments and doubts begin. I think at least we are going to keep that to ourselves.
