The presenter of A new day (Telemundo), Rashel Díaz, talks about her role as a mother and shares her concern when it comes to educating her two children by herself.
“I have a fairly wide age difference, because my man Juan Daniel is 15 years old and the girl, Daniela, is 9. So, in addition to the sex difference and the age difference, what one wants to do, the other does not want to do., the friends of one are not those of the other. I have to make rules and say: "Well, this weekend we are going with Juan's friends," or if Juan brings a friend, Daniela brings a friend, "says the presenter.
"In the end, I never choose anything, I never go to the place I like to go to, nor [on] television let me see what I like," he says.
“They are very active, my son does a lot of sports, he is in American football and the girl is in dance and gymnastics. Every day after three in the afternoon what I do is be a taxi driver; 'Take me here, take me there,'”he adds.
Regarding the education of her children, the presenter affirms: “I think that adolescents are experiencing a very difficult stage and that parents have to be very vigilant. [You have to] set rules for them, discipline them and that is what I try to do here at home because as I am alone, I am not married, I think it is much more difficult for us and with the work that I have.”

Rashel believes that education is everyday, even if he "has to repeat the same thing".
“I try to make them know that you have to make an effort, I try to make them know the value of money, the value of the family; that they themselves make efforts for that person. And that is what we have to do as a father, not to speak once, not two or three, but to speak the same thing every day.
“Sometimes my son says to me: 'Oh, mom, the same thing', but after a moment I hear him talk to a friend or see a text he writes to a friend, and I say [that] he is repeating the same thing that he I'm saying I … that means he's staying. Although at some point they deviate, they return to what really is the essence of what you have taught them, "concludes Díaz.
