Jennifer Love Hewitt and her new husband Brian Hallisay - the actress's partner in the cast of the series The Client List - were parents to a girl.
The actress and her husband "are very happy to announce the birth of their daughter Autumn James Hallisay," her representative told People.
The little girl was born on Tuesday, November 26.
The couple had decided not to know the sex of their baby until the day of their birth, and held a "neutral" baby shower in October.
What was not a surprise to the actress was the realization that being a mom would be one of the best roles in her life.
“I lost my mom just under a year and a half ago to cancer. Obviously I was lucky, despite having lost it, that this has already been as an adult, but it still affected me deeply,”Hewitt told People last September.
"I always wanted to be a mom," she said. “I had an excellent relationship with my mother; I'm ready to pass on to my baby all the love my mom gave me.”
