Selena Gomez continues her reign as the queen of Instagram with 100 million followers, making her the first user to see that many zeroes on the photo-sharing app. Incredibly, Gomez reached that number despite not being active on her account in over a month after canceling the remainder of her Revival tour to focus on her physical and mental health.
The last photo she shared was a shot of her on stage performing during her Revival tour.
This isn't the first time the “Hands to Myself” singer has broken an Insta-record. Back in March, she became the most followed person on instagram taking the top spot from Taylor Swift -who once had the most followers-and selfie queen Kim Kardashian.
Her Selenators without a doubt helped her reach this latest milestone. When her fans saw that she was close to the 100 million mark, they coined the #SelenaBreakTheInternet hashtag to show their support during her work hiatus and to cheer her up.
And there's more from this social media royalty: Gomez also has the most-liked picture on Instagram with 5 million likes and counting. The photo is of her drinking a Coke with her lyrics on the bottle.
