The most endearing dates of the year are approaching! Christmas is coming and from your hand the opportunity to thank all the good things that surround us, the moment to spend quality time with family, friends and celebrate life.
These Christmas dates are ideal to reconnect with our spirituality and reflect on what is or is not really important … One of the most valuable things to be thankful for is undoubtedly health, so do not neglect it in the coming weeks.

With this intention, we review the simple advice offered by the United States Department of Health.
Take care of your stress level. Don't let the holidays hurt your health or the health of your checkbook. Fulfill what you propose and do not overspend. Create a balance between your work, your family and your free time. Lean on your loved ones. Relax and be positive. Make sure you are sleeping as necessary.
Travel carefully. Whether you're going through town or around the world, stay safe. If you drink, do not drive and if someone around you is willing to do it, do not consent.
Do not forget to always wear your seat belt when handling and taking your children seated and secured in the correct way, corresponding seat or booster depending on their age, weight, etc.
Stay warm … Cold causes severe health problems, especially in children and the elderly. Dress in several layers, bundle up and stay dry.
Wash your hands frequently. It is a very simple but vital detail to save yourself many diseases or transmit your germs to others. Use running water, soap and spend at least 20 seconds doing it. Cover your nose and mouth if you sneeze with a tissue. If you don't have one on hand, then do it on your sleeve or near your elbow, but never on your hands or wash them immediately afterward.
Do not smoke. Also, do not be a passive smoker breathing the smoke of others.
Watch the children. While eating and playing, they are always at high risk of unsupervised accident. Keep out of their reach everything potentially dangerous for them, toys, food, drinks, cleaning fluids, coins or hard candies with which they can choke …
Learn first aid to know what to do in cases like these. Make sure they use the toys correctly. Put rules and regulations so that they do not misuse electronic screens.
Don't hurt yourself. Wear a helmet if you go for a bike or skateboard ride. Accidents can happen always and especially during these holidays. Use stairs instead of climbing anywhere when hanging Christmas decorations.
Leave fireworks or rockets for professionals in the field. House fires are common due to misuse of unattended candles, fireplaces, and ovens.
Do not use generators, grills, or things that need gasoline or coal to burn inside the house or in the garage. Keep a smoke and carbon monoxide detector at home. Check that they work once a month and change the batteries twice a year.
Prepare meals carefully. In order not to make yourself or your family sick, wash your hands and the kitchen surface often. Avoid contamination of food by keeping raw meat, chicken, seafood, and eggs on different surfaces when preparing them. Cook food to the proper temperature. Do not forget to finish putting them in the fridge no more than two hours later. Eat healthy and stay active.
Get a medical checkup and get vaccinated. Preventive medicine can find problems early and fix them, as well as vaccines that prevent disease and save lives.
