That is why many resort to virtual applications or programs to find a partner. These act as 'cupids' to help the user to unite with the perfect partner according to tastes, activities, hobbies and personality.

According to the United States Census, among the 57 million Hispanics in the United States, approximately 13 million are not married, have no partner, or are not in a romantic relationship, Univision revealed in a statement.

In view of this, the chain and Match Group have joined forces to create a free program to help single Latino couples who are looking for a partner to get to know each other online and the result is called: Chispa.

“No other company knows Hispanic consumers as much as [Univision] and no other company knows more about connections in the 21st century than Match Group; Together we have been able to launch a product for highly connected, tech savvy Hispanic youth that provides a service that is fun and culturally relevant,”said John Buergler, Senior Vice President of Growth Projects at Univision Local Media.

To use this new dating app, users must be over 17 years old. Chispa members will also be able to create a profile, personalize their data, their interests and history, as well as log in through Facebook and text messages (SMS), in order to simplify and facilitate the registration process.
