Univision Deportes' new soccer narrator, Iris Cisneros, will be part of the first soccer broadcast on US Hispanic television to be narrated by a woman.
On the eve of the 2018 Russia Soccer World Cup, Cisneros prepares for the biggest change in his career as a new talent for Univision.
“We women can enter a business so labeled for men. I think it represents gender equality. There are superlative companies that support you and shake your hand so you have to respond to them with the same expectation. It represents a change, this is historical, Cisneros told People VIP.
This time, for a La Liga MX match, Cisneros will be accompanied by two fellow commentators and the production team and technicians, most of whom will be women.
For Cisneros, soccer has never been a matter of men only, the 28-year-old Mexican has worked in the media since she was young with her passion for sports.
His work experience began when he was only 21 years old. One of his jobs was writing for Sky Sports until he became a network talent in 2015.
The young career of the young woman of Salvadoran parents was also the host of the Sky Sports News newscast and of the premieres of the Premier League and the Spanish League.
They will soon see Iris in her new role on the Univision network.
