A man lost his life in Boston, MA, in what appears to be an unfortunate accident when his neighbor shot him with an arrow while trying to save him from the attack of two dogs.
According to local media, it all started when the neighbor called 911 after hearing noises in the apartment next door, grabbed his crossbow and headed to his neighbor's house.
There he found the two pit bulls and shot one of them with the misfortune that the arrow, after injuring the animal, went through the door behind which the neighbor had locked himself to protect himself from the animals and hit him.
"Early indications indicate that the death is accidental and the neighbor is cooperating with authorities," said spokesman for the Berkshire County District Attorney's office Andrew McKeever.
Police reports indicate that authorities had received several calls about aggressive dogs at one of their homes on Bellevue Avenue.
When the officers arrived at the scene, the two pit bulls tried to attack them, so they had to shoot down the animals. In the apartment they found a minor unharmed.
The case is still under investigation and the names of those involved or to whom the dogs belonged have not been released.
