A 10-year-old girl tragically lost her life trying to save her kittens.

People say Greenlee Marie was trying to rescue her kittens from behind the dryer in her home when she was electrocuted, according to data from the GoFundMe account created by her family in Texas.

"On July 7, Greenlee lost his life in a traumatic accident at his home. She was trying to rescue her two kittens [who were] behind her family's dryer when she was tragically taken from this world,”reads the GoFundMe information People review.

The information shared by the family shows that the girl, only 10 years old, had a very compassionate heart, not only for people but for injured or orphaned animals. So her parents want to create a memorial fund for Greenlee. "All her life she enjoyed helping those less fortunate than she, and always planned that when she grew up she would become a vet and [to] help rescue more animals," she says in the data. For this reason, her parents want to raise money to continue her work of helping animals in her community.

Greenlee's mother Shelby Roos told KSLA-TV, a newscast that People reviews, that her daughter loved her cats. She even referred to the animals that her daughter wanted to rescue as "their babies". Roos indicated that Greenlee would do anything for them. "I know she's up there right now with all her babies," she said. According to the Dallas morning news show, Dallas Morning News, Police and the Fire Department are investigating the electrical installation of the home.
