A 19-year-old boy in Arkansas is accused of killing his mother. His father also faces charges of allegedly helping him cover up the crime. PEOPLE confirmed that Carson Gregory Glover faces murder charges for the death of his mother Sonya Glover. The body of the 54-year-old woman was found Saturday. She was sitting on the sofa in her house, covered in blood. Sherwood, Arkansas police revealed that William Gregory Glover, Sonya's widower and Carson's father, reported to authorities that the body of his wife had been found on Saturday before midnight.

Glover, 55, was charged with hindering the arrest of his son. According to official documents, William Glover told police that he had found his wife dead on the sofa when he returned home. Repeatedly, the man claimed that he did not know how he had died.

However, a relative showed investigators a recording of a call he accidentally received from William Glover's cell phone. In the recording, William is allegedly heard yelling at his son, "You killed her, you're a bastard." Then it is heard in the same recording as William asks: "Where's the gun you killed him with?"

According to reports, the couple had been married for 34 years. The son and father are in the Pulaski County Jail without bond. A possible motive for the crime has not yet been revealed and the case is still under investigation.
