Husband Accused Of Murdering Mother Of His Children

A Hispanic mother in Connecticut was stabbed to death and it was her 11-year-old son who called the police for help. When the police arrived at the house they found Mónica Domínguez and her husband Emanuel Dominguez-Villa Gomez, 31, both with knife wounds. The woman - who has two children - was allegedly stabbed about 30 times at the hands of her husband.

The 11-year-old and 2-year-old boys were at home when the violent incident happened, and the oldest was the one who called 911, authorities said. According to official documents, Domínguez was lying on the ground in a pool of blood, reports NBC. She had her neck cut but she was supposed to be able to tell the paramedics "he tried to kill me", referring to her partner. The young mother added: "He [said] that I had been unfaithful to him," according to court documents on the reason for the violent fight.

The woman was rushed to the hospital, where she died Sunday. Her husband, who was also injured, was treated at the hospital and after being released, he was arrested. The father faces criminal charges and will have to appear in court. For now Villa Gómez is in prison with a bond of $ 750,000. The victim's family is still in shock, loved ones say.

"The family is in a lot of pain," Diana Montes, a friend of the victim, told NBC. "We have to be her voice. This has to stop. We want justice for Monica. She didn't deserve this."
