Vela was shot on arrival at his home after taking Gil and his two children to watch the movie The Lion King, according to police reports.

We will find them. We are going to do justice for George. For your children”, he said looking directly at the camera.
Now it is Vela's family who demand justice and send a severe message to the alleged murderers, including whoever their love was.
“I hope you really understand what you have done to our family and your children. When you are sitting in jail every day, think about this, what you have lost, what you have done to us, what you have done to your family,” Robert Smith, one of the relatives, told the television station. of the victim. "They have a special place for them [the killers] in hell. God will be the only one to judge them after this."
Authorities are still investigating to determine the motive for the murder and who shot the deceased, since Gil had initially said it was due to a robbery.
