Venezuelan Model Shot In Guadalajara

Venezuelan model and influencer Cheila Navarro Cortez remains in serious condition after being shot in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.

The 25-year-old girl known on her social networks as La Dollche was shot several times last Wednesday while in a beauty salon.

According to press information, the events occurred shortly after noon on Wednesday when an armed man attempted to enter the premises where the model was located. Failing to do so, she fired at least 10 shots at the premises, injuring several people inside.

Among them is the Venezuelan, who received two bullet wounds to the back that caused damage to her lung, kidney, pancreas and intestine. An esthetician and a man suffered minor injuries and are out of danger.

The authorities have not specified whether the perpetrator of the shots was targeting the model, who is torn between life and death.

The young woman is known on social networks for sharing images from her travels, posing in scant clothes, showing off luxurious cars, bags and brand clothing, as well as occasionally portraying herself with her 2-year-old daughter. She also stands out as a businesswoman with a store for women's clothing and makeup products.

The authorities, who went to the scene almost immediately, were unable to catch the aggressor and an accomplice, who fled on a later abandoned motorcycle. Both have not yet been identified.
