During New York Fashion Week, many designers present their exquisite collections and although it is a delight to see the creations of many of them on the catwalk, we cannot deny that the most anticipated fashion shows of the season are undoubtedly the from Hispanic designers like Carolina Herrera, Custo Barcelona and of course Oscar de la Renta's. Precisely we were present at a show of the fashion house founded by the Dominican designer who is now in charge of the designers Fernando García, also Dominican, and Laura Kim of Korean origin, taken in the facilities of the spectacular Cipriani restaurant located in the financial district of New York City, the place where we returned to rectify why this brand is one of the most prestigious in the world.

To create the brand's spring / summer collection, the designers decided to take inspiration from the island that gave birth to De la Renta and García, the Dominican Republic, and with the Caribbean island as a reference, they created a fresh, modern collection with pieces perfect for wear them on a Caribbean island, without forgetting the elegance and femininity that has always characterized the fashion house.

One of the spaces of the city's famous Cunard building was decorated with golden chairs, palm trees and baskets full of fruit, something that undoubtedly transported those present to the tropics, including Priyanka Chopra, Paris and Nicky Hilton, and Lucy Hale, among other celebrities. But the best was the spectacular collection that included chiffon minidresses, other kaftans with beautiful floral patterns and multi-colored stripes. Bright colors such as yellow and orange also reigned, without forgetting white and black. Of course, the feminine suits with applications, flights and vaporous skirts that have always characterized the brand could not be missing.

This collection also came with supercool accessories such as hats and straw bags, perfect for a paradise vacation.

A collection without waste and full of magic. We are sure that we will see many of those pieces in the next rugs.

On the other hand, the hairstyle of the 44 models of different nationalities, including four Dominicans -Hiandra Martínez, Lineisy Montero, Anyelina Michell and Ambar Cristal- was in charge of Odile Gilbert, TRESemmé stylist, who created the looks respecting the natural texture of the girls. So we saw models with loose hair with beautiful curls, others with braids and a few more with straight hair. The makeup was simple and bright, very similar to what other designers have proposed.
