Unusual! A detective, who was part of the Los Angeles County police force dedicated to investigating sex crimes, could spend several years in jail by pleading guilty to having sex with a young woman of just 15 years.
Neil David Kimball, 46, pleaded guilty to having had sexual intercourse with a teenage girl in 2017. Back then, the officer was investigating a case of abuse against the minor and, after gaining her trust, was intimate with her. at your place of residence.
As reported by People magazine on its online site, although the officer initially faced charges of rape, the authorities in charge of the case could not establish whether Kimball used force to carnally access the minor.
Last Saturday, July 13, the police officer pleaded guilty to having illegal sex and lewd acts with a minor, crimes for which he could face a prison sentence of up to three years.
Additional information on the painful crime adds that this would not be the first time that the officer has been involved in cases of inappropriate conduct with victims of abuse. In 2009 and 2014, two women had already reported Kimball's misconduct while performing his duties as a detective.
