A Pennsylvania jury sentenced Jacob Sullivan to death for torturing, raping, and murdering Grace Packer, 14, who was the adopted daughter of his girlfriend. The horrible crime happened in 2016 and shook the world. Sullivan, 46, confessed to being guilty of first-degree murder, rape of a minor, and abuse of a corpse. The teenager's dismembered body was found in October 2016 by hunters.

Judge Diane Gibbons did not hesitate to pronounce her sentence, telling the murderer: “You have no soul. I have never said that to any other human being in my life and I hope I don't have to say it again.”

Sullivan reportedly showed no emotion upon hearing his death sentence. "The brutality in this case goes beyond my ability to describe it," added Gibbons. "Living this vicariously through photos, audio and videos must have affected them," he told jurors.

According to the prosecution, Sullivan tortured Grace while her foster mother Sara Packer watched everything without doing anything. The man strangled the teenager, the mother testified, and kept Grace's remains in a container of cat litter for three months before dismembering her corpse and throwing it in a remote area of Pennsylvania. Court documents describe the crime as an alleged "rape and murder fantasy" that Sullivan and Sara Packer executed together. After abusing and drugging her, they left her in a house alone, tied up, so that she would die of heat in the summer.

According to The Philadelphia Inquirer newspaper Sara Packer will be sentenced to spend the rest of her days in prison once she pleads guilty. The woman will have to appear in court today Friday, according to official documents.
