Narcocorrido singer Alejandro Villa was shot to death in a direct attack. According to reports, the 25-year-old man lost his life at the scene, while one of his companions is seriously injured.

According to the authorities, the event took place early Wednesday morning, in front of a branch of wines and spirits in the town of Tlaquepaque in Jalisco, Mexico. Villa was buying liquor when an armed group approached the place and unloaded a flurry of bullets causing the singer's immediate death. Witnesses to the incident reported to the authorities, who arrived only to confirm the death of who they called "The new blood of the bullfight."
