Young Alexa Cannon was asking for life after being the victim of almost 40 stab wounds by her roommate. It was her best friend Luisa Cutting, who with a butcher knife ended in cold blood the life of the university student.
Together they were studying at the University of Radford, in Virginia and considered themselves to be great friends as can be seen in the images that have come to light. The person responsible for this terrible event is under arrest for second-degree murder as indicated in the press release from the Radford police authorities.
Police received a 911 call last Thursday with a very nervous voice on the other side that mentioned a knife. As the court order indicates, the young woman's lifeless body lay in the place where the terrible events took place.
“I met this girl two years ago online and we ended up living in front of each other for a year. This year has been like my mom in Cancun. And unimaginably, she still supports me and next year we will live together. I love you very much Lu and everyone prays that we don't kill each other this year”, read the message of the young victim along with some photos she published with her murderer on her Instagram profile.
A message that foresaw what was going to happen a few months later. The constant writings of support and affection by both on social networks did not make us imagine that this friendship relationship would have such a tragic outcome.
Brian Hemphill, President of Radford University, has shown his deep sadness over such a horrible event. "The days and months to come will also be very difficult so we send our condolences, as well as thoughts and prayers to the family and loved ones of our student," says the statement from the head of the educational institution.
The case remains in the hands of professionals as colleagues, family and friends painfully remember this young victim of violence. Rest in peace.
