A pastor of a Pentecostal church in the United States was bitten by a snake in the middle of a religious sermon.
Cody Coots is pastor of the Full Gospel Tabernacle in Jesus Name Church in Middlesboro, Kentucky. This church, led by Pastor Coots is one of the temples in the United States where serpents preach. Even, it is allegedly the only one where snakes are still handled in the religious services, indicates the description of the trailer published on YouTube of the documentary My Life Inside: The Snake Church produced by Barcroft TV.
In the documentary being filmed about the Church, they captured how Coots is talking to parishioners while holding and walking around with a snake in his hand. In an interview, the pastor indicates that he trusts that he will be fine.
Suddenly, the snake approaches his face and bites him. Blood from the bite splatters his shirt immediately. Then you see how a parishioner helps him to get out of the compound. Once outside, after the bite, the pastor asks to have his tie released. Apparently in an attempt to breathe easier, after receiving the dangerous bite. It is clearly seen in the video that he asks you to please stop filming on camera what is happening.
In the information disclosed by the documentary My Life Inside: The Snake Church, it is stated that the previous pastor of said Pentecostal church had died of a rattlesnake bite. The religoso was the father of Coots, Jamie Coots who after receiving the bite, died at the age of 42, in 2014.
