A 26-year-old policewoman faces charges for allegedly kicking a woman who was eight months pregnant with her stomach and causing her premature delivery.

The incident happened on July 25 at around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Espanola Way and Washington Avenue when the suspect, Ambar Pacheco, was off duty and reportedly entered into an argument with the victim's boyfriend, Joseph Predelus.

Evoni Murray, 27, was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital where the woman gave birth to a child.

According to Telemundo 51, in Miami, the woman told the police: "I saw [everything] red and I gave him a damn kick." Then she claimed that Predelus had kicked her sister in the face.

"I observed that the victim had a lot of pain in the abdomen region and [that] she possibly had contractions [in labor]," Alberto Castro said in his police report.

Pacheco belonged to the North Miami Beach police and was fired this Wednesday, as confirmed through the official Twitter account of said police force.

"Due to the out-of-service actions of Ms. Ambar Pacheco his employment with the North Miami Beach Police has been terminated with immediate effect, "said Police Chief William Hernández in a tweet announcing his dismissal.

"Fortunately we got to Mount Sinai just in time because it took just seven minutes of labor [for the baby to be born]," the boyfriend of the victim exclaimed to the local WSVN station.

Pacheco had been in the position for less than a year and was employed on probation. Now she faces an aggravated charge for assault on a pregnant woman.
