A young mother was found dead in a Texas stream. The corpse of Elizabeth 'Libby' Davis, 28, was found by Plano police in Dallas after her family reported her missing. According to authorities, family members reported that Davis suffered from depression.

Her car was found Thursday after she left the highway and abandoned the vehicle in a wooded area. Her mother Kay Bruner reported that Davis left the freeway around 4:30 pm that day and ran away, The Dallas Morning News reported.

Libby's wife Kevin Davis shared on Twitter a photo of her with her 20-month-old son, asking for help finding her. Her post also included a photo of her wife's abandoned car. “Yesterday my wife Libby - who was apparently dealing with depression and severe anxiety - drove her car off the highway in Plano and fled on foot. She has been missing for 16 hours. She is 5 feet 7 inches, has brown hair and eyes. She was wearing black gym shorts and a black T-shirt,”says the message she posted on July 19.

Plano police searched for her with the help of a canine unit and found her dead body Thursday in a stream near where she left her car. The case is still under investigation but is not suspected to be a homicide. Davis' mother told the Dallas News that since her baby was born, the young woman suffered from postpartum depression, may she rest in peace.
