Accused Of NFL Star Violence

NFL star LeSean McCoy is in the eye of the hurricane after being accused of allegedly hitting his ex-girlfriend Delicia Cordon. On Tuesday a photo of Cordon with his face savagely beaten and bloodied went viral on social media. In the photograph, taken by PEOPLE, the designer is covered in blood lying on a hospital bed.

Cordon's attorneys informed PEOPLE in writing that she was attacked at 3 am Tuesday morning while sleeping in the Georgia home she shared with McCoy. The couple had drifted apart. "Cordon was physically attacked in the home by a man who entered the home without signs of forced entry," the statement said.

The attacker allegedly asked Cordon for specific jewelry, and when he was unable to remove the pulses that he had on, he hit him with his gun several times. Cordon's cousin was also attacked, according to lawyers.

"Cordon suffered multiple blows to the head, face and arms during this horrible attack," added the statement.

The photo of Beaten Cordon was posted to Instagram by her supposed friend Mia Michelle Boykin with the following message: “I can't believe you did this to my best friend. Your karma is going to be very real. The world has to know what kind of animal you really are."

Boykin also accused McCoy on Instagram of allegedly beating his dog until it caused kidney failure in the animal. “And let's not talk about all the times my best friend had to stop you from viciously hitting your son for little things like bed wetting. We also keep quiet about your drug use,”Boykin wrote.

McCoy categorically denied the allegations on Twitter, saying they are "completely false." The footballer added in the message on his social networks: "I have not had any direct contact with the people involved in months."

On Cordon's Instagram account, he still has photos with the NFL player in happier moments. The couple had separated last year and were in legal proceedings, according to The New York Times.

The newspaper reports that the Buffalo Bills player had attempted to remove his ex-girlfriend from the Georgia property where Cordon lived with her children. Both were due to go to court on Tuesday but the session was postponed until August 14, at the request of Cordon's attorney, Tanya Mitchell Graham, The New York Times reported. The chilling case remains under investigation.
