Woman Hit An Old Man

Los Angeles police are looking for a woman who allegedly gave a savage beating with a brick and with the help of strangers to a 91-year-old Mexican man.

The incident occurred in Willowbrook, south of the Californian city. According to accounts by Rodolfo Rodríguez, 92 years old and originally from Michoacán, Mexico, everything happened when he went out for his usual walk through the streets of the neighborhood.

At one point in his journey he ran into an African-American woman who was with a minor of approximately four years. Apparently the man brushed against the girl as he passed her and that caused the fury of the woman who, according to the victim, rushed to knock him to the ground to hit her.

Apparently the woman hit him first with her fist, then with a brick. She then called five other subjects who reportedly helped her hit him. Witnesses say that while attacking the man they yelled at him to return "to his country" "why are you here?" "You do bad things."

Misbel Borjas, another neighbor of the neighborhood posted on Facebook a video of the old man when he had just been attacked:

A neighbor of the old man who was passing by the site took a photo of the woman at the time of the events:

"I didn't even touch his daughter," the old man told CNN. "I just passed her and she pushed me and hit me until she got tired," exclaimed the old man who was visiting his relatives' house and who apparently is a US citizen. "I can't walk anymore. I have a lot of pain".

The man has one and several fractured ribs, in addition to multiple lacerations on the body.

For his part, D'Angelo Robinson, an alternate from the Los Angeles sheriff's office, stated that they will not allow the woman to go unpunished. “We are concerned, especially this type of crime that was committed. It seems that there was a little girl of four years who witnessed everything that happened. We cannot allow this type of people to move freely through our streets.”

"Who could do this to an [almost] 92-year-old man?" Erik Mendoza, the victim's grandson, exclaimed to CNN. The boy established a fund on GoFundme to help pay for his grandfather's medical care. "[He] is doing very badly, he has many bruises on his face, he has lost sight in his right eye and he has a broken cheekbone. We ask people for help because their treatment will be long and costly for their recovery,”he exclaimed in his message.
