A 24-year-old woman who went missing after attending a blind romantic date with someone she met on the Internet was allegedly strangled with an electric cable and dismembered. Two "persons of interest" to the authorities have been charged with her murder, PEOPLE confirmed. Aubrey Trail, 51, and Bailey Boswell, 24, are allegedly responsible for the murder of young Sydney Loofe. The woman's body was found in December, three weeks after her disappearance in November.

Authorities think she was killed on November 15 or 16, after attending a romantic encounter with Boswell, whom she met on the Tinder dating app on the Internet. The women exchanged about 140 messages in the days before Sydney's disappearance, the Omaha World-Herald newspaper reported.

The women had a romantic date on November 14 and agreed to meet again the next day. On November 15, a video captured at a Lincoln Home Depot store shows Boswell and Tail buying items that authorities believe were used to dismember and dispose of the victim's body, according to court documents.

The newly revealed court documents show that Loofe's last message to Boswell was at 6:54 pm on Nov. 15. The message confirmed that Boswell had arrived at the victim's home. Boswell confirmed through his social networks that he did know Loofe on Tinder and that they had met twice but that after their second date, he never heard from her. "I haven't heard from her," says Boswell in a video he shared on social media. “I just want your family to know that I am very sorry and that I have nothing to do with this and I hope they find Sydney soon. She is a sweet and wonderful girl.”

Trail, the 51-year-old man who lived with Boswell, said in an interview with the Omaha World-Herald newspaper from prison that he had inadvertently strangled Loofe during a sex game with Loofe and two other women (who did not include Boswell).). According to him, the young woman agreed to participate in the sexual fantasy. "It wasn't supposed to go to the extreme it did," she said. "She was not supposed to die."

According to court documents, Trail admitted that he was the one who strangled Loofe and that Boswell had helped him clean up the crime scene and remove the corpse. In another telephone interview with the Omaha World-Herald, Trail said he was responsible for the young woman's death. "A life for a life - those are the rules in my world," he said. "They must kill me." His trial is still in progress.

The family of the 24-year-old who died created a Facebook page to remember her. Loofe's parents reportedly commented there that “she was looking for a special person to spend her time with. She went to Tinder to look for that person and unfortunately she found someone who had macabre plans for her."
