It seems that 2019 will be a very special year for all those who love technology and robotics, as the prestigious company Boston Dynamics recently announced that it is in the pre-production process of what would be the most intelligent robot dog that has been launched at market.

Unlike other robotic pets that exist on the market today - and that are mostly limited to barking or crashing into the wall - the SpotMini model can perform autonomous movements such as walking, climbing and descending stairs, opening doors and even putting objects in the washing machine, as revealed by CNN through a report on its online site.

“We have built 10 units, which will be very similar to what we will design for manufacturing. We have built them in-house but we will have help from contractors and manufacturing people, revealed Marc Raibert, founder of Boston Dynamics, in a recent conversation with TechCrunch.

Although no information was expressed about the possible value that this advanced robot may have, the interest of fans of the renowned technology firm has increased since some videos were published on YouTube showing what it is capable of making this peculiar mascot.

Recently Boston Dynamics has also created a frenzy by posting a video of the progress it has made with its humanoid robot Atlas. In a clip revealed on his channel on the popular video platform, the machine can be seen running in an open field. Since its publication the impressive video has exceeded 5.4 million views on YouTube.
