Marjorie de Sousa could not be more excited with the acting challenge of giving life to Sofia, the protagonist of the new stellar production of Telemundo Across the Wall. Her happiness, however, is not complete. While filming this project in the United States from Monday to Friday, the Venezuelan actress is forced to be away from her son since the baby, who resides in Mexico, cannot travel with her because he does not have a passport to leave the country, situation derived from the legal conflict between De Sousa and his ex-partner Julián Gil.
“I admire more than ever those women who have their turn, I understand them mega. Being a mother, and more a single mother, is a complicated task, but not impossible. I'm trying to combine the two without affecting my job as a mother,”Marjorie tells People en Español, who tries to spend as much quality time as possible with her offspring now that they are physically apart.
The actress hopes "soon to be able to travel with the child in her arms" to avoid having to live this situation that causes so much suffering. "It hurts tremendously. It is the most difficult thing that has touched me. It hurts a lot,”acknowledges Marjorie. "But in the meantime I come and go. Production helps me a lot and I try to spend as much time with Mati without neglecting my work,”he explains. "Every second she spent with Mati is of quality and we really enjoyed it together."
Fortunately, De Sousa has the support of her mother and her best friend to help Matías while she works in the United States.
“I must work to be able to continue with my life and my career. He was a year old and something was already standing between my belly and spending as much time as I could with him. I think this all hurts us but nothing is impossible and I have many angels by my side who help me, including my mom and my best friend who are with me at all times, concludes the unforgettable villain of the successful soap opera Amores verdaderos.
