Carolina Herrera Talks To Jessica Simpson About Her Wedding Dress (VIDEO)

Last Saturday in Santa Barbara, California, the link between Eric Johnson and Jessica Simpson took place, who chose the Venezuelan designer Carolina Herrera to create her wedding dress.

People magazine has published an exclusive video in which both comment on the design in front of a panel with the sketch of the dress and reference images for the dressmaker, who claims to have found inspiration in a portrait of Empress Sissi of Austria to give to the dressed the royal look Simpson was looking for.

The mother of two children shows off a spectacular figure just one year after giving birth, but instead of betting on a mermaid-cut model that accentuated her curves, Herrera designed a voluminous skirt because, according to the video, “the Weddings are fantasy, a dream, you have to be more romantic than sexy”. The designer explains to the actress that the most important thing is that the dress “goes with [her] personality”.

In addition to Herrera's ivory dress with rich gold embroidery, Simpson wore a long veil, Brian Atwood shoes, and Neil Lane jewelry. Herrera added inside the dress the “something blue” that according to tradition brides should wear, in the form of a bow.

The Venezuelan designer was also responsible for dressing the couple's daughter, 2-year-old Maxwell, in keeping with the bridal gown, about which Simpson commented "she is going to feel like a princess."
