The United States authorities are on full alert and have intensified the search for a grandmother accused of having murdered two people in recent weeks. Her most recent victim, a 59-year-old woman whom she killed with the intention of stealing her identity.

As revealed by CNN through a report on their online site, the first victim of Lois Riess, 56, was her own husband David Riess, who was found dead on March 23 in the state of Minnesota. Since then the woman has been on the run.

Authorities have emphasized how dangerous a woman can be, as she appears to be a harmless person. "[Riess] smiles and looks just like any other mom or grandmother, but she's calculating … and a cold- blooded killer," revealed Carmine Marceno, a member of the Lee County Police in Florida. "The suspect at some point will run out of resources and could try to murder again," he added.

The most recent murder he is accused of would have happened in the past few days in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. Information revealed by the agencies in charge of the investigation identified the victim as Pamela Hutchinson.
