Police in Florida issued an AMBER alert asking for help in the search for a missing baby. The newborn, identified as Andrew Caballeiro, was kidnapped from a Miami home where authorities found three women dead. Authorities on Tuesday found the three bodies of the women, whose names have not been released, and it is not known whether one of the victims was the baby's mother.
Police suspected the boy might be with his father, Ernesto Caballeiro, but the 49-year-old man was found dead Wednesday in a rural area of Blanton, Florida. The father's white van was also found, but the boy is still missing.
One of the murdered women was reportedly related to Ernesto Caballeiro, who lived in the same house with the baby, but authorities have not released further details. A person close to the family revealed to Univision that the women shot dead were the mother, grandmother and great-grandmother of the boy, who was 11 days old. The case is still under investigation. Authorities request that anyone with information about the baby's whereabouts or about this case call Miami-Dade police at (305) 471-2400 or 911.
