A 20-year-old girl, who was 8 months pregnant, was murdered in Mexico to steal the baby from her womb. The Infobae.com news site reported that the woman, identified as Jessica Gabriela 'N', was killed by a couple who wanted to keep their unborn child.
The body of the young woman was found on Sunday April 1 in Tampico, Tamaulipas, in the couple's apartment. Jessica had been missing for four days and her body was in an advanced state of decomposition, according to authorities.
The alleged perpetrators of the crime were identified Omar Enrique 'N' and his wife Cynthia 'N', according to the Tamaulipas Attorney General's Office. The report adds that Cynthia contacted the pregnant young woman on social media to offer her baby clothes and the girl never returned home after meeting the couple on March 27. That same day, she was reported missing by her loved ones.
The baby is reported to have been born dead after the couple allegedly murdered the young woman and removed the fetus. Seeing that the boy was showing no vital signs, the couple went to a nearby hospital for help, saying the mother had had a miscarriage. Cynthia and Omar Enrique watched over the baby as if it were their son. The macabre crime has shocked Mexico and the world.
