Girl Dies From Pit Bull Attack

A 3-year-old girl died this Sunday after the fierce attack of a pit bull that her family had just adopted less than a week ago.

According to News 4 Oklahoma reports, Rylee Marie Dodge was left at home by her father, Jason Dodge, in the care of her grandmother.

Twenty minutes after leaving the house, located in the town of Duncan, the victim's father said that he received a frantic call from his mother asking for help because the dog - which was part of the pit bull and part of the bulldog - had pounced on him. the girl and attacked her.

When the man returned to the house he found a horrible scene with his mother trying to stop the beast holding him with the weight of his body and the girl unconscious.

Dodge explained that the girl apparently wanted to go out and play with the dog when the dog attacked her, dragging her around the house. It was then that the grandmother grabbed the beast and tried to stop it for help. "There was nothing we could do, absolutely nothing," said the father, speaking to the KSWO station about what happened.

The girl was transported to a local hospital where she died of the wounds caused by the animal, which according to a family friend had been adopted just 5 days ago.

Dodge assured that the animal never showed signs of aggressiveness. "I loved my son. He gave her a hug and the [dog] licked her face and everything,”she explained. "I brought him here and my son went out to play with him in the garden to play with him all day and he never did anything to him."

After the attack, the dog ran away from the house. He was later found by the police who shot him dead. So far no criminal charges have been filed in relation to the case.
