The body of a missing Nebraska woman was found late Monday night - weeks after going out on a date never to return home.

The parents of Sydney Loofe, who went missing on November 15, confirmed that their daughter's body had been located on Monday. They shared the devastating news on the family's official Facebook page.

"It is with a heavy heart that we share the latest news with you," they wrote on Facebook. Please continue to pray for Sydney and our entire family. May God grant you eternal rest. We love you, Sydney."

The Antelope County Sheriff's Office also confirmed the news on its Facebook page. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Loofe family. Our office has received confirmation from the family that Sydney's body has been found. No further details are known so far."

The 24-year-old disappeared after having a date with someone she had met online, a police representative reported to People magazine. Her family reported that before the appointment she had texted one of her friends via Snapchat, but that when she didn't go to work the next day her friends worried.

Since his disappearance, police have tracked his mobile phone near Wilber, NE, approximately 40 miles from his Lincoln apartment.

A man and woman identified as Aubrey Trail, 51; and Bailey Boswell, 23, were identified as people of interest in the Loofe case. In late November they shared a video titled: “Our side of the story”.

"We are not trying to defend anything, we are not trying to make them believe anything," said Trail, sitting with Boswell in what appears to be a parked car. "We just feel like we should tell our side of the story as everyone else can tell theirs."

Authorities have been unable to locate either Boswell or Trail. (People magazine's efforts to contact them has also been unsuccessful.)

Lincoln police have confirmed that they are analyzing the video, but declined to comment further. They've said nothing about Trail and Bowell's possible connection to the Loofe case beyond describing them as people of interest.

In the video, Boswell says that she and Loofe had two dates, including the one on the last night Loofe was seen. Boswell claims that on November 15 he picked up Loofe at his home, circled the car, returned home to smoke marijuana, and when it was time to leave, Loofe asked Boswell to drop her off at one of your friends.

"Since then I have not heard from her," Boswell said in the video. “I just want to say to the family that I am very sorry, that I have nothing to do with this and that I hope they find Sydney very soon. She is a sweet and wonderful girl."

"I pray for Sydney," Trail adds in the video, "I hope it is found very soon. I wish the family the best. I am so sorry I was not with you on Thanksgiving.”
