With a crush. Apparently, this is how a teenager killed little Austin Almanza, in Oklahoma, while wounding his younger brother with the same arrow.

According to the local Fox channel, Lincoln County police charged a 13-year-old boy with shooting a crossbow at Almanza, 10, and his brother Ayden, 8. The incident happened Saturday around 6 pm local time.

Sheriff Charles Dougherty reported that the three young men were friends and playmates, so they often went to play in a cabin on a vacant lot. When the accident happened, Ayden was standing behind his brother, and when the arrow pierced his body, it also wounded him.

In the recording of the call to the emergency service, a neighbor is heard to inform the operator that he believes that "an arrow went through one of the children and got stuck in the other."

Despite the fact that some versions indicate that all three were playing, Dougherty says that researchers are inclined to the theory that Almanza's death was not accidental. "Austin is dead because an action was taken, so until something directs us in another direction, we are going to work (his death) as a homicide," he said.

The suspect, whose name has not been released because he is a minor, remains in a juvenile detention center.
