In order to carry out a campaign to learn about the advantages of using solar energy, the environmental organization Sierra Club has released a video titled Solar 101, with the Spanish voice of John Leguizamo, who joins this initiative to explain the obstacles facing this form of combustion.

"When electric monopolies fight laws that allow fair access to solar energy, the worst harm is done to low-income communities, including millions of Hispanics," Leguizamo said in a statement.

The actor has stood out for his work as a defender of social justice and support for various causes for the benefit of the most vulnerable. Now, it also promotes benefits for the environment with the use of solar energy.

"We must make the switch to clean energy so that our most vulnerable brothers and sisters do not suffer the worst consequences of pollution and climate change," he added.

What is intended with this campaign is to prevent electricity companies and monopolies from continuing to prevent the use of clean energy to continue making millions in profits, while the planet is affected and the pockets of consumers as well.

"Solar energy is a bright and positive solution to generate electricity in our country that creates jobs and economic opportunities and creates a better future," said Mary Anne Hitt, director of the Sierra Club's Beyond Coal campaign.
