A Broadway stage actress is being accused of trying to push a woman into a New York train station, for no apparent reason. The incident happened little at 11:40 pm on Friday.
According to the New York Post, the actress named Keira Keeley, 35, was arrested around 12:15 a.m. on Saturday, accused of approaching the 57-year-old victim at the Manhattan station, Union Square, only for push it onto the rails.
Although the victim could not see his attacker, fortunately he was able to react in time and, as soon as he felt the strong push, he grabbed one of the pillars of the place, thus avoiding falling onto the track. Hearing the screams of the assaulted, the police came to his aid and a person who had seen what happened immediately accused Keeley.
When questioned, the artist who has performances in theaters outside of Broadway such as Angels In America: Parts 1 and 2 and, in 2013, How to make Friends and Then Kill Them, denied that she pushed that woman. However, she did state that she had been drinking with her boyfriend at a nearby restaurant, and so she felt dizzy.
Keira Keeley was charged with a felony battery of assault and posted bail from Rubicon, Elementary, and The Path.
